ARCHITECTURAL WINERY WONDERS & HISTORIC WINERIES

TRAVEL WITH ME on this gourmet wine tour from Bolgheri to Val D’Orcia and Chianti through Medieval & Renaissance towns of Tuscany.

This tour explores the most spectacular wine producing areas of Tuscany and will surprise the wine novice and delight even the most discerning wine connoisseur.

Journey through the landscapes of rolling hills dotted with farmhouses lined with tall slender cypresses and neatly aligned vineyards.

Tuscany’s wine country is one of the most breathtaking and carefully preserved areas in Italy. Here you’ll find incredible wines that have evolved over time. Today, Tuscan winemakers have invested in architecturally stunning wineries with modern technology and advanced concepts of biodynamics and sustainability,

We will start on the Tuscan Coast in the Maremma – Bolgheri region, considered Tuscany’s Wild West. Most tourists have never seen this part of Tuscany. Swamp land for centuries, it opened to farmland and vineyards. It is here where the Super Tuscan Wines began, and Bolgheri is where these wines truly excel.

Visit pioneers like Ornellaia, newcomers like  Petra, Michele Satta and Grattamacco and producers from other areas of Italy like the Allegrini family with Poggio al Tesoro.

We then head to the UNESCO World Heritage Val D’Orcia, where Montepulciano and Montalcino are perched on the surrounding hilltops. Visit top rated Casanova di Neri and other boutique style wineries for a complete Brunello di Montalcino tasting.

Taste Vino Nobile di Montepulciano produced by exquisite wineries like Poliziano

The tour ends in Chianti Classico, il Gallo Nero, with iconic wine producers like Castello di Brolio where you will enjoy a vineyard pic-nic on the castle grounds and the annual Chianti Classico Black Rooster Wine Festival in Greve.

You will also enjoy private guided tours to the many historical places of Tuscany, including Siena and San Gimignano. Take a pecorino cheese making class in Pienza, the ideal city and learn the art of Tuscan cooking with a hands on cooking class.

Join me for our 4th year on this highly reviewed food and wine tour of fabulous Tuscany!
