Ultimate Wine Tour from Bolgheri/Maremma to Val D’Orcia and Chianti through the Medieval and Renaissance towns
ARCHITECTURAL WINERY WONDERS FROM WILD MAREMMA TO UNSPOILED VAL D'ORCIA & HISTORIC CHIANTI
A slow-paced Grand Culinary & Wine experience to discover the most charming and breathtaking areas of Tuscany landscapes lush vineyards, rolling hills, slender cypress-lined roads, and Medieval and Renaissance hilltop towns on the horizon.
On this exclusive tour we journey through the best-preserved Italy regions where highly appreciated wines are produced in historic and architectural wine wonders to satisfy wine-enthusiasts as well as the most discerning wine connoisseur.
While culinary traditions are closely linked to the Tuscan territory, when it comes to wine Tuscany has a double identity- the bastion of tradition and land of innovation. While respected wines like Chianti Classico and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano have been made for centuries and attest to the region's ancient and noble wine heritage, the first Super-Tuscans have brought innovation and change to the Tuscan wine scene with a modern approach to viticulture and winemaking.
Travel in Maremma along the Etruscan Coast where few tourist roams. Considered Tuscany’s Wild West, this once swampland is now open farmland and filled with vineyards producing world-known SuperTuscans. We visit pioneer winemakers like Ornellaia as well as newcomers like Petra, Michele Satta, and Grattamacco. We then reach spectacular Val D’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage breathtaking picture-perfect landscape. We visit the charming medieval towns Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, and Bagno Vignoni.
Tastings include single vineyard wine producers like Casanova de Neri and award winning Poliziano. In the Chianti wine region we relish in sit-down tastings at historic wineries with boutique winemakers who sit down and share their experience and tales.
Enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson at a typical Tuscan farmhouse, a pecorino cheese making class in Pienza, a truffle-hunt excursion, a vineyard picnic.
To dive into the rich history of Tuscany, our private expert guides will lead us through tours of Siena, the Etruscan archaeological park of Populonia, and the hilltop towns of Tuscany with their ancient tradition and history.
Great wines, delicious food, and history will make this tour an unforgettable experience!
