Ciao a tutti! I would like to share a few things about me .
I was born in the USA and began experiencing Italy and Europe by spend every summer abroad from the age of 2 to 16 when my family and I moved to Treviso, Italy.
This gave me the great opportunity to grow up fully bilingual and immerse into the local culture. I was fortunate to complete my graduate studies at the prestigious University of Padua where Galileo once taught.
I then pursued my Masters and worked for international corporations, living in Milan and Turin. During that time I traveled throughout Italy and the rest of Europe gaining significant knowledge of the many hidden gems and fascinating customs which I have always had a great curiosity and love of discovery.
In 2001, I decided to return to the USA and apply my love and passion for travel and everything Italian by establishing Italia Dolce Vita. I began specializing in tailor made travel and small-group escorted tours to Italy. My desire was to share my expertise and knowledge with those dreaming of Italy beyond the obvious and looking for authentic experiences.
As years progressed and clients requests returned, our agency began to also offer tailor made services to other countries like France, Spain, Greece, Switzerland and Austria.
I have complemented my expertise by obtaining certification as Culinary Travel Professional® accredited by the World Food Travel Association, and certification as Italian Wine Specialist® endorsed by North American Sommelier Association and Italian Sommelier Association. I am now pursuing my studies an Italian & French Wine Scholar with the International Wine Scholar Guild . These achievements have enhanced my philosophy of travel “Eat and Drink Well, Travel Better”.
I visit Italy and Europe several times a year accompanying select small group tours as well as to participate in travel trade fairs. This gives me the opportunity to research new and exciting travel ideas to share with our clients.
I also holds regular seminars and lectures on Italian history, language, and traditions, with specific focus on Italy’s diverse culinary traditions and wine history. I also host and lead wine tastings in Florida.
I am honored to be President of Sarasota Italian Cultural Events, a not for profit organization with over 150 members spreading awareness of the rich Italian cultural heritage to the greater Sarasota community. I am also a proud member of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and current Sarasota Sister City City Director for the Province of Treviso.
I look forward to begin planning your trip today!
